The Center needs volunteers who:
- Communicate well with people;
- Are Passionate, committed and open minded;
- Recognize the uniqueness and strengths of each individual and build upon such strengths;
- Have a profound respect for the dignity and worth of each individual and accept them without reservation;
- Are committed to and involved in their own lifelong learning.
Financial Wellness Guides (FWG)
A Financial Wellness Guide facilitates and presents financial education programs that encourage participants to grow and develop their own personal potential. FWGs use a variety of types of learning activities to meet the wide range of student needs. Training in student -centered methods and change management will be provided as required.
Program Managers (PM)
Program Managers work to link the curriculum to specific age groups or life stages. Their role is to focus on the design of the class structure with the overall intent to achieve the vision of the Center. PMs will ensure delivery of the program fits a specific audience, is of high quality and makes learning fun. Training in curriculum creation and research will be provided.
Associate Board Members
Associate Board Members help develop and enhance the Center’s brand, provide insight into the development of the organization and develop future Board Members. The Associate Board creates and plans social gatherings as fundraising events that helps us raise awareness and money to impact our mission ‘to empower all individuals to achieve financial wellness through all stages of life’.

Administrative Coordinator (AC)
This role is the first contact individuals have with the Center for Smart Financial Choices. The individual(s) serving in this position is a guide to the community and represents the Center.
The Assistant primarily acts as a coordinator of scheduled events. The Center has a need for assistance at off-site events during the day primarily at local school districts or other non-profit sites. There are other opportunities during the lunch hour and after business hours.
Partner Volunteer Opportunities 
Junior Achievement is an economic education organization that provides volunteer-delivered kindergarten through twelfth grade programs that help students foster skills in financial education, entrepreneurship and work readiness. Junior Achievement has a need for volunteers to deliver a first grade program called, “Our Families.” The program consists of five lessons that each take 30 minutes to deliver – that’s just a total of two and a half hours!
One of the great things about volunteering with this organization is the flexibility! Each volunteer is matched with a teacher and together they decide on the days/times the volunteer will visit the class. Don’t have teaching experience? That is okay – the majority of JA volunteers don’t! The organization provides its volunteers with the classroom, turn-key materials and training. All you need is enthusiasm and a willingness to engage youth.
